Paying a little respect

The last Sunday, is the last day of ching ming and we wake up early on sunday to go pray to my 2 grandfather, grandmother and my aunty.... Let's talk abit abt my 2 grandfather... My first grandfather (with the surname "Lam") pass away really young and my grandmother bringing up 4 son.. so i guess with the tough life then, my grandmother must hv meet and remarry my real grandfather (with the surname "Choo"). That explain why me and my cousins have different surname....

Ching ming is a time that we as the younger generation pay respect to the older generation... so no mater how early, we will need to wake up early..... this year, my mother picked a weekday to pray my maternal grandmother.... She took care of us when we were young.. thus I really miss her when she is gone.. this year is the 10th year that she is gone... really miss her....

wAt a Week...

This week seem very short... but I had a hard time..

Saturday
I went to watch Jolin's concert with my cousin, Wei Ting on Saturday. We meet for dinner at Bugis and went to the Kallang Indoor Stadium for the concert.. This is my first time watching concert with Wei Ting and we have a great time talking, singing and hving fun!!!

Weekday
I had a long week at work.. It is our company's year end and I was busy... So tired!!!

Tomorrow, I am meeting my friends for dinner and hopefully I can go home on time...

Someone I love is having a difficult time of her life... I really hope that she can be stronger and dun be too upset. I know she will be reading my blog... Here i like to tell her to be strong and I will always be there for her... U know who you are... JIA YOU!!!

mUmmY's Birthday!!

Yesterday is Mummy's Birthday!!  After much planning, we decided to go to Straits Kitchen @ Haytt Hotel with Aunty Laynah & family on Saturday. The meal was fantastic!!! Although the theme of the buffet line is local fare and it is food that we can find at most hawker, like popiah, fried oyster omelette, but the food is yummy!!!

 

Yesterday We bought our family favourite durian cake from Goodwood park hotel to help mummy celebrate her birthday. We love the cake... Mmmm.. Well i think this time mummy's birthday is much enjoyable than Pa's Birthday... haha...

As usual I will wish mummy Good Health, More Wealth, Happiness and Forever Young!!

Little Vernice...

My husband's niece, Vernice is sick... She has been sick since Sunday night with high fever, diarrhea & vomit... Monday, she was admitted to KK hospital cause her fever didn't subside... I went to visit her at the hospital after my exercise class. She seems a bit tired and still have slight fever... My sister-in-law told us that Vernice will be discharge on Tuesday.

However on Tuesday, she still cant discharge and she is put on drip.. When I visited her, her arms is bandage up so that she couldn't band her hand as the tube is inserted there. When we change her mittens, we notice that both her hands are poked with needle holes too.. Think her veins are still too fine and they cant find them so they need to try a few times... So heart pain.. :(

Today she is still not discharge but I worked too late so I didn't go visit her... Hopefully she will be healthy and safely back home tomorrow...

lessons of pain...

Yesterday I had fitball lessons.. After a long break without exercising, I have to rebuild my stamina and my muscles need retraining... haha..

The lessons are great.. it works most of the part of my body... The flabby arms, the big tummy and the fat legs... haha.... but every time the instructor say 5 more... my body seems to give up.. haha.. no more energy to keep up..

Although it is quite tiring for the first lessons but I think after a few more lessons, I hope that I will be fitter and stronger... haha.. Zhen, Jenny, Faith and Evon lets work hard and train up ourselves...

tiReD...

I dun consider myself as a very hardworking and model worker but i try to put in my best when working.. In August or Sep, I had a new Senior Accountant joining us (let call her Ms Laughing). I will be working closly with her as my previous senior has promoted to Assistant Manager...

I use to think it is hard work working under my Assistant manager as she has high request and she demand me to give her the best result... I love and hate the work then... I love the challange but kind of hate the long hrs...

Ms Laughing is a hardworking boss who work till midnight and even work on weekend.. She seems to be learning fast with the business... But one thing i find out is that she sometime cant get used to our culture... One thing that I find different while working with her is that she do everything herself. She is not like my Asst Manager who will ask me gather information and report to her and she will make decision base on my findings...

As I was busy preparing my wedding, I kind of enjoy the break. I will need to finish my own job and then i will go home and plan for my big day... But now I kind of find my job a bit routine.

On Fri, my Asst Manager called me into meeting room. She say that now she feel that I am not learning much things nowadays as my Senior Accountant is handling most of the things. She kind of hint that it will affect my performance. I feel kind of sad by the talk with my Asst Manager. I have never mind working hard and for the past few yrs, my appraisal has always been not bad... I guess this yr, my performance will be affected by this... I feel so helpless, i cant work hard if no work is given to me...

My Asst manager has inform my Senior to hand her work to me. I really hope that things will turn better...
