I think i am becoming a shopping queen...

Maybe age is catching up and feel the need to dress up instead of having outdated wardrobe... Even before the start of the Great Singapore Sales (GSS), I have been shopping.

2 weeks ago on 17 May 2007, it was Isetan private sales, I went with Ling to buy some of her baby stuff.. and of course I bought some clothes for myself. I bought myself 2 dresses and a tube top and 2 three quarter pants..

Last Fri, I went Vivo City with my mother, cousins and aunty. It was a trip to join mummy for dinner and also to go face shop to buy some skin product... However, I bought more than plan.. I went to ebase with the thought of buying a tube but when i go in and look around, i spotted a dress.. Again I can't resist myself and bought it...

Today, I got a msn from Zhen that mummy is not cooking. Zhen has always wanted to get a nice dress for herself.. we met up after work at Far East and we started shopping.. Of course Zhen got some clothes and I hope she love them.. For me, again I cant resist myself and bought myself a dress, a three quarter pants and a pair of earrings...

Opps.. I guess I need to control myself... hahaha.. enough of clothes already.. so I guess, I need to STOP shopping!!! Hopefully I can control myself throughout the GSS... Hee hee...

cHef for the wEeKeNd...

This weekend, i cooked for my hubby...

On Saturday, we are thinking really hard on where to go for dinner... Thought of going expo for the Singapore Food Expo but i dun really like going there to join the crowd and stand and eat... so at about 7.00pm, I suggest to cook for Chris... We decide to drive down to NTUC at Bukit Batok and see what we can find to whip up some dishes.

There wasn't much fresh food since it was quite late.. But we manage to grab some items and head home to start the cooking.. I fry some brocolli, pan-fried salmon fish and deep fry some fish finger and wu xiang... Errmm.. the fish was abit burned but still edible... :P Chris finish all the dishes and keep asking me to cook more often... After dinner, i finish up with washing the dinner and he helped out with mopping the floor...

After a successful attempt it boost my confidence and on Sunday I cooked fried rice with the left over rice from Saturday dinner.. I just fried the rice with some crabstick, chinese susages, eggs and mixed vegetables... It didn't turn out too bad... :) Chris ate 3 bowls of rice... Haha... not sure if he just didn't want to disappoint me or the rice really taste good.. hehee....

It was just 2 simple meal and Chris is contented... It definately make me happy (as a wife) to see my hubby enjoy and finish up all the dishes that i cooked..Maybe I will try to cook more often and once i have the confidence, I will invite friends to come up for dinner... hehee...

bReAkFast

This morning when i go to the office, my colleague was saying that Yes 93.3 is giving out free sandwich for breakfast at somerset MRT station as one of their media campaign... As our office building is near Somerset, they are asking me to join them to get Free Breakfast!! As I have not bought any breakfast to work, i agree to tag along with them. haha.. Singaporean..

When we reach the mrt station, they are setting up the place for giving out the sandwhich.. After awhile, they start to give out the sandwhich and we are the first few get the sandwich.. haha... here is a pics of the sandwich..

However, the moment we go back to our seat, we sense black clouds move across.. Oh oh.. my boss is angry already!! My senior got a small scolding for going along with us.. hmm.. We only took less than 20 mins to get the breakfast what...

Well, i still enjoyed my sandwich with a hot cup of milo.... haha..

1st ceLeBrAtiOn

Today is my first mother's day celebration with my hubby's family! It is the first time celebrating with my mother in law. It is a simple gathering with Sister-in-law's family, mummy, Benjamin, aunty Rebecca and grandmother..

Last min, we had to pick my sister-in-law and baby up coz her hubby can't make it due to work commitment. Then we went to pick up mummy, grandma and Aunty Rebecca. We went to Ivins restaurant recommended by my sister-in-law colleague.. It is a restaurant located near Bukit Timah that serve Peranakan food. The serving of the food is small but for us, it is ok coz we can try many different dishes. We ordered quite a number of spicy dishes... The food was not too bad...

As usual, with little Vernice around, everyone is busy entertaining her and taking turn to carry her.. Chris couldn't keep his hands off her.. haha.. Here is a pics with her in the restaurant...

I had not been feeling well the past two days... I had a bad sore throat on Tuesday and I went to buy liang teh to drink hoping to cure the sore throat... One of my friend told me that her doctor tell her not to drink liang teh when there is sore throat as it might led to cough.. true enough I begin to start coughing yesterday..

I was couging so badly that I feel my stomach muscle aching.. I was coughing badly in the office that some of my colleagues are rather worry that I might spread the cough to them..

I need to stop the cough so yesterday night, I went to a company panel clinic near my house... There was a long wait at the clinic.. I waited nearly for an hour for my turn.. The doctor gave me some cough medicine and a day medical leave... Chris came to fetch me from the clinic and we went to buy porriage back for dinner.

Today I came to my mum house as Chris is not comfortable with me staying at home alone as there are no one to take care of me. So Chris drop me at my mum's place when he go to work.. Thanks dear!

Hope that my cough will go away soon... Cough cough.....

a TiRiNg dAy...

Today is a unlucky day.. I took the train to work coz Chris couldnt drive me..

1st thing is I overslept on the train and went to cityhall station and had to take a train back to somerset... When i go to work I realise that my Assistant manager was not in her best of mood... It wasnt a good start coz when she is on a bad mood, we all had to becareful not to step on the bomb... which could go off any time...

Secondly, when i submit one of my Quarterly report to my Assistant Manager, she came to tell me 5 mins later that the report is wrong and we had to pass an entry to adjust the figures.. This is the 3rd time i am changing this report and i really hate it... U ALL THINK IT IS EASY TO CHANGE?? Y CANT U ALL GIVE ME THE RIGHT FIGURE IN THE FIRST PLACE??? ARGGHHH....

I was very angry when I am inform to change the report. But i guess i am not the most angry person..My senior was more angry then me coz she has given my senior the report to view the amount 2mths ago. But my Assistant manager told us that the figure is WRONG!! Well I guess I am the victim in their miscommunication... sigh.. Finally finish the report but it is simply wasting my time to do this report for 3 times...

Sometime I wish that my senior and Assistant manager had better communication between each other so that I can be free from doing more work..

Paying a little respect

The last Sunday, is the last day of ching ming and we wake up early on sunday to go pray to my 2 grandfather, grandmother and my aunty.... Let's talk abit abt my 2 grandfather... My first grandfather (with the surname "Lam") pass away really young and my grandmother bringing up 4 son.. so i guess with the tough life then, my grandmother must hv meet and remarry my real grandfather (with the surname "Choo"). That explain why me and my cousins have different surname....

Ching ming is a time that we as the younger generation pay respect to the older generation... so no mater how early, we will need to wake up early..... this year, my mother picked a weekday to pray my maternal grandmother.... She took care of us when we were young.. thus I really miss her when she is gone.. this year is the 10th year that she is gone... really miss her....
